advice

If you knew a couple who had the following circumstances in a certain year:

  • 1 broken ankle (on first wedding anniversary)
  • 2 miscarriages
  • 1 30th birthday
  • 1 speeding ticket
  • 1 sister’s divorce

Would you recommend that they take a Carribbean cruise under the following circumstances:

  • hurricane season
  • using passport/driver’s license with maiden name after 18+ months of marriage because waiting for a new passport takes too long these days?

Seriously folks, let me have it.  Should we just take the safe route and go to Branson instead?

If you take your marriage license along (just in case) the passport should be no problem. I can’t speak for hurricane season though. Here’s hoping the coming year is a better one. :o)

I still travel internationally using my passport with maiden name. We’ve been married since 2003. It’s no big deal. Really….just make sure you buy your plane ticket in your maiden name too. Make sure all of those match!!!

    Let’s see…. in a very short time frame…
    got married
parents got divorced & Mom moved
    helped Dad move
    bought a house
    moved
    got robbed
    Mom got remarried
    thought we were pregnant
found out we weren’t pregnant, but needed surgery for endo
    had surgery for endo
my hair started falling out, dx’d with alopecia areata

    Yeah….that was during a time frame of…about 18 months.
    It was NUTS.

    So…I know how you feel.
And yes, you need a trip to someplace tropical.

I vote for vacationing with people who have teeth and B Cups.

This year was fine and dandy until my recent miscarriage.

But 2005? Dang. It was one kick in the gut after another—but we made it through and even smiled occasionally.
