most spiritual baby ever
I’ve been teaching toddlers and two year-olds in the church nursery for two and a half years. In those years, I’ve gotten to know a lot of kiddos and I’ve seen the gamut of personalities, sweetness, hilarity, and fits.
You get to see a lot these at drop-off and pick-up. I always thought the best scenario as a parent was to have the child that happily skips into class at the beginning and then gets happy-excited to see you at the end.
Usually at the end, you have a few whiners, and then a bigger group of kiddos just clamoring to see their mom dad. Then, there might be a straggler or two who are just playing contentedly until someone tells them their parent has arrived.
Yesterday I saw something I’ve never seen before.
A child was mad – fit-throwing mad – that she had to leave and go with her parent.
I had to take the baby away and pry the play vacuum cleaner out of her tiny hands.
Any guesses as to who that child might be?
