because i love you and i love bacon
My sister was here visiting for a few days.
We happened to catch about 2 minutes of Paula Deen and saw her make the most amazing sounding thing ever, so we decided to try them.
And we saw (tasted) that they were good.
Here’s what you do:
Take a club cracker (you know the buttery, rectangular crackers).
Put about a teaspoon of shredded cheese on it. We used sharp cheddar, Paula recommends parmesan).
Wrap a half a slice of bacon around the middle of the cracker.
Bake on some kind of broiler rack over a foil covered pan, so that the cracker doesn’t sit in the bacon grease. 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
They don’t come out looking like the most beautiful/refined appetizer, but they taste amazing. The cracker is crisp on the outside and soft where the bacon covers it.
