maximum control, touchable feel
My friend had a tough week last week.
The kind of week where it feels a little bit like everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.
She sent a series of emails that was pretty spastic.
Then, she said something that hit me: “everything feels so out of control right now”.
It hit me because I feel like my life is under control right now.
And, it is.
It’s just not under my control.
It never has been, and that’s what’s best.
And that’s also what’s scary.
“When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future.” – Ecclesiastes 7:14
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:37-39
