who knew an L could be so important

Posted in mousie at 12:12 am by Anonymouse

Overheard in my world:

“Elmo is clapping.”

Except replace the “l” sound in “clapping” with an “r” sound.

“I see flags.”

Except eliminate the “l” sound in “flags”.

We’ve had some good ones, but with the word “duck”. And one of Elizabeth’s friends shortens “fire truck” into one word.

as a future SLP i’d like you to know that if your child can make an R sound in place of an L sound, she’s WAY advanced in her speech development! HOORAY baby swiss!
