Remember the Christmas Dress post from last December?

Well, I don’t blame you.

Short version – I bought matching Christmas dresses on clearance last winter for Christmas 2012.

This morning I took Pipsqueak to the doctor for her 9-month well-visit.

She weighs 15lbs 9oz.  That puts her squarely barely on the charts at the 5th percentile.  She’s pretty much a giant though at 26in long – 9th percentile.

I think it’s safe to say that these statistics combined with the fact that her current clothes are either 0-3mo or 3-6mo mean that she will not be wearing her 12-18mo Christmas dress in 4 months.

There’s always next year.

In other doctor’s office news, Baby Swiss’s nosebleeds have been attributed to allergies and vaseline in the nose every night along with children’s zyrtec have been prescribed.

We’ll probably try to avoid daily allergy meds if we can – just because we are those kinds of people.  We’ll see how it all plays out.

I actually did remember that post. Maybe it will still fit. Elizabeth would fit into all kinds of weird sizes. Her Christmas dresses from last year were actually from the year before, they fit her both years.

Pipsqueak is just a teeny tiny little peanut! I don’t recall what Mea’s medical records show for her height/weight for 9 months, but I do know that my Mack was a giant among babies. At 6 months old, she weighed 22lbs, she also had all of her baby teeth in including her 1 year molars. People couldn’t believe that she was really a baby baby, they thought she was at least 1 or more at only 6 months old. She wore a size 2t, at age one. Really. She was just destined to always be an amazon. She is now 5’11”.

The great thing with dresses and skirts is they can wear them a long time. So maybe this year her dress will be a little long. Next year it may be just right, and Baby Swiss’ will be a little short. Or, you get to go shopping again…nothing wrong with that choice either! 🙂

Sugar is the same way. At 9months, 4days she weighed 15lb 15oz. She is 21 1/2 months old and wears 12-18 month tops/dresses and 6-12 month shorts. I can’t buy ahead successfully either. I bought some stuff at the beginning of the year in an 18 month for her to wear this summer and it’s still too big. I hope your doctor doesn’t give you the same grief ours did about her being tiny.
