miscellaneous Christmas things

Posted in mousie at 12:54 pm by Anonymouse

I went to the store today to buy my tiny boxes that I talked about here.

Except they only had 8 tiny boxes, so I had to buy small boxes.

I made my list of activities and let me tell you it is both creative and ambitious.

Ha! Do you not know me at all?

Here is my list – they will obviously be opened in random order:

  1. Talk about Baby Jesus
  2. Talk about Mary
  3. Talk about Joseph
  4. Talk about Angels
  5. Talk about Wise Men
  6. Talk about Shepherds
  7. Talk about the Stable & Animals
  8. Read the Christmas Story in Luke 2
  9. Read the Christmas Story in Luke 2
  10. Read the Christmas Story in Luke 2
  11. Read the Christmas Story in Luke 2
  12. Read the Christmas Story in Luke 2
  13. Read Christmas books
  14. Read Christmas books
  15. Read Christmas books
  16. Eat candy canes
  17. Put money in the Salvation Army Kettle
  18. Listen & Dance to Christmas music
  19. Listen & Dance to Christmas music
  20. Take pictures by the Christmas tree
  21. Take pictures of the Christmas decorations
  22. Learn & Practice Away in a Manger
  23. Learn & Practice Away in a Manger
  24. Learn & Practice Away in a Manger

Also, the good news is that my kids can’t read, so if they open one that I’m not in the mood for that particular day, I can just tell them a different activity than what is actually on the slip of paper.

My kids are 1 & 3, so I feel like this is relatively do-able for us where we are.  I imagine when they are 12 & 14, we will not need to Learn & Practice Away in a Manger. Also, eating candy canes will hopefully be less of a chore by then.

In other Christmas news, Pipsqueak still fits into her Christmas outfit from last year.

  1. Emily said,

I was going to post a list tonight too! I am going to steal a couple of your ideas, if you don’t mind.
